Polish Radio reports, the Belarusian authorities illegally confiscated several paintings prepared for the exhibition organized by the Polish Institute in Minsk.
The car was detained on the “Warszauski Most” border crossing. Polish diplomats who arrived at the crossing point tried to resolve the issue but had no success. As a result, the Belarusian authorities confiscated the paintings.
According to Polish consular sources, actions of the Belarusian authorities are an unprecedented example of violation of the diplomatic rules and bilateral agreement about cooperation in the sphere of culture.
