Krystsina Shatsikava Gives Explanations about Her Complaint to Mahiliou Prosecutor’s Office

Yesterday Mahiliou activist Krystsina Shatsikava was summoned to Leninski district prosecutor’s office of Mahiliou. The prosecutor had questions regarding her complaint about the actions of the administration of Mahiliou regional psychiatric hospital, which she had submitted earlier. As we have found out, the hospital staff who participated in forced confinement of the activist, had already given their explanations. The prosecutor’s office is to make a decision soon.

Yesterday Shatsikava’s attorney also submitted a complaint about her illegal placement to the psychiatric hospital to Kastrychnitski court of Mahiliou. The somplaint is to be considered within 30 days, if the judge does not find it necessary to carry out additional investigatory measures.

RFE/RL reports, today Shatsikava is to visit the juvenile commission. The commission thinks she does not take proper care of her children. The civic activist told the commission she would never let them take her kids away from her. She believes, such conversations at the juvenile commission are a method to put pressure on her. “The only thing I am afraid of in this life is to lose my children”, -- Shatskiva points out.
