On Monday, at about 8 p.m. the police detained Sviatlana Pankavets, sister of journalist Zmitser Pankavets. She was detained on a bridge between Maskouskaya Street and Skaryny Avenue for handing out stickers that invited Minsk residents to come to Chernobyl March action. Yury Zhyhalka and other three activists were detained together with Sviatlana. The police took them to Maskouski police department of Minsk.
Sviatlana, 20, is a student of Minsk nursing school. Last spring Sviatalana took part in post-election protest rallies on Kastrychnitskaya Square together with her brother Zmitser, Nasha Niva reports.
