Several weeks ago the public activists Yury Belenki, Ales Chakholski, Valiantsina Palevikova, Anatol Sidarevich, Aliaksei Ianukevich and Iury Ziamkovich applied to Minsk city executive committee for authorization of Chernobyl Way procession along Nezalezhnastsi Avenue from Yakub Kolas Square to the National Library.
The officials proposed procession from the Academy of Sciences to Banhalor Square instead. The applicants wrote that this route wasn’t discussed with them. However, they agreed to come to the police on 23 April in order to discuss the security measures for the action.
