Independent newspaper banned to be sold in shops

Pinsk independent newspaper Miastsovy chas is facing huge problems. Pinsk local authorities did not allow big shops to sell the newspaper. Miastsovy chas’ editor-in-chief Viktar Iarashuk addressed Pinsk Town Executive Committee demanding to allow the newspaper to be sold in town shops but was rebuffed. Valiantsina Kulak, head of ideology department of Pinsk Town Executive Committee, promised to consider the issue once more, but left the demand without reply.
