Another Session of Supreme Economic Court on “New Life” Church Case
On the proposal of Minsk city executive committee representatives, the court invited an official from State Committee on Property, who was to give a statement on the issue of appropriate usage of the land by the Church.
Judge Karatkevich interviewed him and announced a break until Thurday.
According to Siarhei Lukanin, the lawyer of the Church, possibly the case of the New Life Church will be resolved this or that way on Thursday. The judge asked both sides to prepare the lists of all laws and normative acts used by the process participants in defending their positions, for making the final decision. In his opinion, today’s interview of the representative of the State Committee on Property was just a way to slow down the process. New Life Church provided the court with all the needed documents in the very beginning of the trial.
The next session of the Supreme Economic Court will take place on March 22, at 12 a.m.
