Radio Racyja reports, leader of Homel regional UCP branch Vasil Paliakou received a letter from Homel prosecutor’s office. The letter says the prosecutor’s office did not find any violations in the actions of local KGB officers.

Paliakou addressed the prosecutor’s office on February 27 complaining on KGB officers who organized psychological pressure on UCP member Ivan Siarheyeu, a student of Homel State Technical University.

On February 22 the student was invited to the dean’s office. There he had a two-hour conversation with two strangers, who introduced themselves as KGB officers. Using threats they forced the student to write a paper where he promised not to publicize the fact of the conversation and to inform the KGB about the activities of Homel UCP.

Paliakoou pointed out in his letter to the prosecutor’s office that similar actions of KGB became systematic and asked the prosecutor to take measures to legally defend the UCP members. However, regional prosecutor Palavinka failed to find anything illegal in the actions of KGB representatives.
