KGB Interrogation Wave Reaches Brest
According to Radio Racyja
On 14 March in Brest KGB interrogated a democratic activist Andrei Vasilevich concerning the activity of the Young Front.
As said by Dzmitry Shymanski, the chair of Brest city BPF organization, the interrogation lasted for 50 minutes. In private, Vasilevich was asked to tell whether a number of Brest residents belonged to the organization. However, he refused to answer most of the questions.
‘During the interrogation Vasilevich found out that another resident of Brest, a delegate to the Congress of Democratic Forces 2005 Siarhei Baiko, was interrogated on this case on 13 March. I consider it as an attempt to intimidate youth on the even of the Freedom Day, which will be widely celebrated in Kastrychnitskaia Square of Minsk on 25 March.
