Actions for Commemoration of Stalinism Victims to Take Place in Minsk

The civil committee on immortalization of the memory of the victims of repressions ruled to hold such actions on 29 March in three places of Minsk – in Kurapaty wood, in Chaliuskintsy Park and in Loshytsa suburb.

According to the secretary of the organizational committee Uladzimir ramanouski this week they have to finish the establishment of regional committees and compose the lists of mass shootings of victims in 1920-ies – 1940-ies on the territory of Belarus. As said by a researcher of Stalin’s repressions, candidate of historical sciences Ihar Kuzniatsou, the organizational committee has already gathered more than 200 000 rubles for commemoration of the innocent victims. The participants of today’s sitting supported the scientist’s proposal to raise donations in the regions till 1 July invite members of NGOs, political parties and movements to the 29 March actions.

Today a round table of Belarusian researchers of the history of Stalin’s repressions will take place in the office the BPF Party.
