Another Activist Suspected in Activity on behalf of Unregistered Organization

Today, on 12 March, a youth activist Nasta Palazhanka has been summoned to Minsk city prosecutor’s office as a witness in a criminal case initiated against the Young Front activists Zmitser Khvedaruk and Aleh Korban. As the human rights center Viasna has found out, an investigator of the prosecutor’s office Siarhei Hrakhouski gave Nasta Palazhanka serve a warrant that she is a suspect in a crime under Article 193 Part 1 (activities on behalf of an unregistered organization) as well.
After the underage young activist was detained with her 4 fellow activists during a meeting of the Central council of the Young Front a search was held in her apartment. The administration of the school exerted psychological pressure on her. Iryna Rodzik, a director of the school, offered the girl to take her documents and go to another educational institution. The director is set to send a letter to inspection on juvenile affairs and ask police start a file on her, though the girl is a good pupil and has had no administrative violations.
