In the morning on 12 March traffic police detained the leaders of the strike committee of entrepreneurs Valery Levaneuski and Aliaksandr Vasilieu on their way from Hrodna to Minsk, where a meeting of businessmen is planned. According to Valery Levaneuski, policemen stated that his car had been registered as stolen. Later this accusation was lifted, but the entrepreneurs were taken to Hrodna regional police department.
Today in the Park of Nations’ Freedom near Bangalore Square in Minsk a meeting of self-employed entrepreneurs is to take place. They protest against presidential decree No. 760 which bans use of hired help except relatives since 1 January 2008.
