On 14 January a picket against participation in the election to local deputy soviets took place outside Minsk regional executive committee. Several activists stood there with a banner You Have Been Cheated! for about 10 minutes. Then they were detained by the riot squad police. Participants of the action informed the press-center of Charter’97 that the riot police kicked in stomach an under-aged activist Nastsia Shashkova. She was taken to Minsk city hospital #1 by an ambulance right from Minsk Tsentralny police department. The medics suspect a haematoma.
