Campaign leaflets of Vintsuk Viachorka, the leader of the Belarusian Popular Front party, and of some other candidates of the party, are checked for containing information infringing the law. Economic crimes department informs that the leaflets are to be checked until the end of the election campaign, 15 January.

The candidates for deputy seats Vintsuk Viachorka, Vadzim Kanapatski and Siarhei Karpovich addressed the prosecutor’s office and Minsk city election commission with a complaint against unauthorized actions of officials.

On 5 January in the night a car of Siarhei Karpovich, a member of the Belarusian People’s Front party and Minsk city deputy soviet candidate, was halted near Minsk. Officially published leaflets and posters of the four party candidates in the election in Minsk, including the leader of the Belarusian People’s Front party Vintsuk Viachorka, were transported in the car. The printed materials were seized by workers of the police department of Zavadski borough of Minsk, allegedly because of false invoices.
