Court Turns down Complaint of Traffic Police against Iury Hubarevich

On 21 November Brest Regional Court turned down the cassation complaint of the regional traffic police that was filed after an inferior court ruled to consider the evacuation of the car that belonged to the head of Brest branch of Belarusian People’s Front Iury Hubarevich as illegal.

According to RFE/RL during the presidential election the BPF activist Iury Hubarevich headed Brest regional election headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich. On 17 March, two days before the voting, Hubarevich’s car waited a technical examination at a parking. For unknown reason a police evacuator transferred the car to a penalty parking.

The activist believes that the policemen must receive disciplinary punishment for it. We should remind that at present Mr Hubarevich is collecting electors’ signatures for his nomination as a candidate to deputies of Brest Regional Deputy Soviet, Biaroza District Deputy Soviet and Belaaziorsk Town Deputy Soviet.
