There is less and less information about the former candidate for presidency in Belarus Aliaksandr Kazulin, who had gone on a hunger strike in Vitsebsk colony. As the wife of the political prisoner Iryna Kazulina has been informed today by an acting director of the colony Ruslan Ptyimak, the state of the prisoner’s health is ‘satisfactory’. He said that the former candidate weights 73 kg and his blood pressure is 90/60.
However, it is known that before the hunger strike Aliaksandr Kazulin’s weight was 91 kg. He has lost 18 kilograms for the 33 days of the protest. The political prisoner is still banned to meet with the lawyer and family members.
Aliaksandr Kazulin announced the hunger strike on 20 October to protest against ‘lawlessness in Belarus’ and to demand consideration of the situation in Belarus at the UN Security Council.
