In the evening of 4 November near the railway station in Brest the police detained Stsiapan Navaselchan, the chair of Brest regional branch of the United Civil Party. Mr Navaselchan was going to a conference in Kyiv in order to take part in the meeting of representatives of the regional coalitions of Belarus that was dedicated to the electoral campaign to local deputy soviets.
