On 7 November the activist of the Union of Poles in Belarus Mechyslau Iaskevich was suddenly released. On that day in the evening a meeting of Hrodna city branch of the UPB was planned. Participants of the meeting were to agree on the date of holding the rally with the slogan ‘Freedom to Mechyslau Iaskevich!’ As the UPB activists believe, the authorities released Iaskevich to disrupt that protest rally.
