German Ambassador Gets No Answer to Request for Meeting with A.Kazulin
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany still has received no official answer to its requests to permit a meeting with the political prisoner Aliaksandr Kazulin to the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of FRG Martin Hecker. The requests were made on 9 August and 22 September 2006.
The Embassy representatives also say they have no information that Kazulin’s meeting with M.Hecker can influence the number of short-term meetings of Mr Kazulin with his relatives. We should remind that earlier Aliaksandr Kazulin stated to his lawyer Ihar Rynkevich that he had been forced to agree to meet with the ambassador at the expense of the short-term meetings with relatives.
The press-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Papou refused to comment on the situation to the BelaPAN agency.
