One More Public Activist Searched at the Border

Brest customs officers examined the personal belongings of the chair of Mahiliou regional branch of the Belarusian People’s Front Ryhor Kastusiou at their office. While checking the passengers’ documents in the train by which he was returning to Belarus from Czech, they asked him to go out and took him to the office. They didn’t find anything wrong. During the examination they behaved politely. In Czech Mr Kastusiou studied the functioning of Czech communal services. It’s worth mentioning that he used to head the communal services of Sklou district, but after the electoral campaign of 2001 in which he took an active part he was made to resign.
