The lawyer Ihar Rynkevich and the human rights activist Aleh Volchak have been denied a meeting with the former candidate for presidency in Belarus, political prisoner Aliaksandr Kazulin. RFE/RL was informed about that by Ihar Rynkevich, who visited the building of the colony Vitsba-3 where Kazulin is kept.
As said by Ihar Rynkevich, the denial is explained by the administration by the colony by absence of an appropriate room for meetings. The lawyer will submit a complaint to the head of the colony. Previously Aliaksandr Kazulin was not allowed to meet with family and lawyers, but on 5 October the term of the quarantine ended.
