Director of House of Literary Workers Refuses to Lend Hall to Nasha Niva for Belarusian Poetry Recital

At 2 p.m. on 2 October Cheslau Pravalovich phoned to the editorial board of the non-state newspaper Nasha Niva and said he couldn’t provide the large hall of the house for the recital of Belarusian poetry and presentation of Poetic Observer, a book by Aliaksandr Fiaduta. He said it was impossible because an evening was play of the Theater of Belarusian Dramaturgy was appointed on this time. At the theater members of the editorial board were told that there weren’t any plays to be held at the house on 5 October.

The Belarusian poetry recital in Minsk was to have been the beginning of the celebration of the 100^th anniversary of Nasha Niva. The celebration of the anniversary has already taken place in Berlin. In Lithuania this jubilee will be celebrated on the state level, as it was decided by the Government.
