On 14 September special police forces broke into Viasna’s Brest office. They detained 22 people and confiscated human rights media.
The detainees were taken to Brest Leninski Borough Board of Internal Affairs and searched.
At the same time, the office is under siege. It is surrounded by the police, which are searching the territory and talking to each other by portable radios.
The detainees include:
Maksim Azarau, Aliaksandr Anisimau, Tatsiana Bulanava, Iauhen Bulanau, Iulia Darashkevich, Zmitser Dashkevich, Iauhen Papou, Linda Senchanka, Artur Finkevich.
