Human Rights Activist Aleh Volchak Is again Detained on the Border

As the press-service of A.Kazulin has already informed, last week the head of the legal service of the former candidate for presidency Aliaksandr Kazulin Aleh Volchak was detained last week. On 3 September the situation repeated. This time he was detained for three hours while crossing the border with Poland. The border guards have been carrying out a thorough search of his car for three hours. Aleh Volchak has also been subjected to personal search. Two books Presidential election in Belarus in 2006.Facts and comments were confiscated from him. The border guards also composed a violation report on Mr Volchak, which he refused to sign.
Aleh Volchak was going to Germany, to the city of Radebeul. He is an honorary citizen of this town. In Germany Mr Volchak planned to have a number of meetings with reporters and representatives of civil society who are concerned over the situation in Belarus after the election, the problem of political prisoners in Belarus, and in particular, about the politically motivated trial over Aliaksandr Kazulin.
