According to Radio Liberty, after the completion of the formal procedures, the Belarusian government will be recommended to comply its legislation to the international standards of the ILO. Otherwise, Belarus will be losing 300 mln. Euro per year. The decision for the beginning of the suspension procedures was supported by the EU Council, mentioning numerous violations of trade union rights in Belarus.
