Persecution of the chair of the Union of Poles in Belarus, not recognized by the authorities, continues, Radio Svaboda informs. A police officer Natalya Karandash has informed that a complaint had been lodged against Andzelika Borys for presenting herself as a chairperson of the Union of Poles in Belarus during sessions of the Council of Wspolnota Polska in Warsaw. And police has information that she had been expelled from the UPB.

Andzelika Borys refused to answer the questions of the police woman. In her turn she said that the case of Andzelika Borys would be considered by the prosecutors office.

Since summer last year two centres of the Union of Poles exist in Belarus, an official one and so to say, an underground one, not recognized by the regime. On the contrary, Poland, supports the UPB headed by Andzelika Borys, and does not recognize the Union headed by Jozef Lucznik and colleagues of the former chairman of the organization, Tadeusz Kruczkowski.
