Protest rally against union of Belarus and Russia was held yesterday in Minsk. Young activists gathered at Victory Square with a streamer NO to Union With Russia. Young people managed to stay near Eternal Flame for 20 minutes, and then they were detained by policemen.

Young activists Tatsyana Kamkar, Maksim Salavyou, Ruslan Matsveeu, Anastasiya Shashkova and Darya Maldavanava were taken to the police department of Partyzanski district on Minsk. Four of the underage activists were released after a report was drawn up against them for participation in an unsanctioned rally. Their cases are to be considered by administrative commissions.

A young activist Darya Maldavanava has spent a night in the special detention center in Akrestsin Street. She was charged with violation of the Article 156 of the Administrative Code (petty hooliganism).
