Owners of route-taxis of Brest keep on the hunger strike launched on July 5 against the republican tax imposed on the vehicles imported with commercial purposes.

At present 13 people are striking - 6 owners of route-taxis, 2 members of their families and 5 drivers, as one of the strikers Liubou Razanovich told BelaPAN. On Monday, the strikers gave a phone interview to Polish journalists who observe the situation. In the near future we plan to meet with representatives of the Russian Mass Media. We communicate with all journalists. We are convinced, the publicity will help to solve the problem that the owners of route-taxis of Brest are facing. The officials responsible to some extent for the solution of the problem ignore the strike. They must be expecting us to stop it. But we will not give up. We are not afraid to die of hunger - the bills that we are to pay are equally deadly, - L.Razanovich said.

She claimed the health of the strikers alarming. The condition of those who have been on strike since July 5 is particularly poor.
