NGO Stareishyny to be registered by Ministry of Justice

According to BelaPAN, the application was filed on July 14.
One of the leaders of the organization Tatsiana Zialko said, that Stareishyny was fromed by 60 people from all over Belarus. However, the organization faced serious opposition fron the authorities. Stareishyny was not allowed to hold a founding conference, while it does not pursue any political goals. Its basic task is improving the social status of Belarusian retirees.
Tatsiana Zialko thinks that the proposals on the improvement of the pension system made by retirees themselves would be more efficient than those made by state officials.
