Hunger strike still on

11 activists of Malady Front were detained yesterday in the evening, near Mikhailauski public garden. The young people were taken to the Leninski district interior department. Among others, the police detained Malady Front leaders Zmitsier Dashkievich and Artur Finkievich, Zmitsier Khviedaruk, Aliaksiei Yanusheuski, Viktar Yanchurevich, Antanina Viezhniaviets, Ales Paplyka. 8 people left the police department when their personal data were verified, while Zmitsier Dashkievich and Artur Finkievich were exonerated only after an administrative protocol had been filed for distribution of printed materials with no date-line.

The hunger strike participants urge to cease criminal persecution of the activists of Malady Front and chasing of Christian believers; they also demand freedom for political prisoners and call to allow the oppositionists expelled from education establishments to resume their studies.
