An activist of democratic movement Vyachaslau Siuchyk in his absence has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. He is accused for violation of part 1 of Article #167 of the Administrative Code (participation in unsanctioned protest). BelaPAN information agency was informed about that by the wife of the politician Hanna Siuchyk.

She has received a statement of the court which informs that V.Siuchyk had been warned about the time of the court session in a proper manner; however he had failed to attend the court. The trial was held on 19 May. It caused Hanna Siuchyks surprise, as on 29 March her husband managed to escape the arrest after leaving the surgery department of the hospital number 3 of Minsk. He was taken there after detention in October Square in Minsk on 23 March with a moderately severe traumatic brain injury. He was beaten up during the detention.

At the moment Siuchyk is in Ukraine. As said by his wife, the court could not have informed him duly. Thus, it was impossible for him to be present at the process.
