According to Charter’97
16-year-old youth activist Andrei Kuzmitski said that on 10 May a worker of KGB took him away from the office of the schoolmaster, put a bag on his head and drove him to a cellar of an unknown building. There he put him face to wall and set something to his head. He said he would kill the boy unless he did what the KGBist told.
The KGB worker tried to make Andrei Kuzmitski give written testimony against the youth leader Iauhen Afnahel so that a criminal case under article #173 of the Criminal Code (involvement of under-aged person into anti-social activity) could be brought against Afnahel. Soon the KGB worker brought the boy back to school and said that he had one day to think the proposal over.
