On 10 May in Minsk the riot police beat the chair of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka and the youth activist Liubou Kuchynskaia. Ms Kuchynskaia was beaten not far from Kastrychnitskaia Square 10 minutes before the beginning of the action that was devoted to the seventh anniversary of the disappearance of the former minister of interior Iury Zakharanka. The police also broke her mobile phone. Friends called an ambulance for her. Before the beginning of the action the police also detained Anatol Liabedzka, beat him and tore his clothes. Then they took him to Minsk Tsentralny Borough Board of Internal Affairs.
