In the first half of April the chief editor of Nasha niva Andrei Dynko received a letter signed by the vice-chair of Minsk City Executive Committee Mikhail Tsitsiankou in which it was said that the CEC considered it inexpedient to maintain the registration of the legal address of the newspaper in Minsk.

In te evening of 28 April some 250-300 persons came to Kastrychnitskaia Squaer of Minsk and unfolded copies of Nasha niva, which the Belarusian authorities are going to close on the eve of its 100-year jubilee. Reading the newspaper, the people silently proceeded to Viktory Square. The silense was interrupted by the police, who warned the readers about responsibility for unauthorized actions. According to the witnesses, the flashmob looked very effective. When its participants started to disperce, persons in plain clothes detained about 10 persons and took them to Minsk Tsentralny Borough Board of Internal Affairs.

On 2 March Salihorsk branch of Young Front organized another action of solidarity with Nasha niva. About 30 persons took partr in it. In the evening they gathered in the central square of Salihorsk and demonstratively read there the newspaper. They walked reading the newspaper and finished the action neear Iubileiny supermarket. Nobody was detained.

The deputy of the Chamber of Representatives Volha Abramava filed three deputy inquiries to the chair of the main ideological board of the presidential administration Aleh Praliaskouski, the minister of information Uladzimir Rusakevich and the vice-chair of Minsk City Executive Commttee Mikhail Tsitsiankou. She asked them to review the decision for liquidation of the juridical address of Nasha niva and let the newsaper continue its activity.
