Arrested Observers to Stay In Prison

The term of arrest for the arrested members of the organization “Partnerstva” Mikola Astreika, Tsimafei Dranchuk, Enira Branitskaia, Aliaksandr Shalaika and Dzianis Nibiika has been extended for two months, the Radio Svaboda informs.
Activists of the “Partnerstva”, an organization which aim was to monitor the elections, had been charged with leading an organisation violating rights of citizens.
Mikola Astreika, Enira Branitskaia, Aliaksandr Shalaika and Tsimafei Dranchuk were detained on February 22, and Dzianis Nibiika on March 16. They are not allowed to meet with relatives.
An exception was made for Tsimafei Dranchuk, who had a meeting with his wife. The arrested are allowed to send letters and receive parcels once in two weeks, and money transfers of 50,000 BYR once a month.
