On 5 April in Svetlahorsk the police detained Telman Masliukou, member of Belarusian People’s Front and of the electoral headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich.
Mr Masliukou is accused of violation of the electoral legislation. The matter is that on 25 February he put a portrait of Aliaksandr Milinkevich at the entrance of the city market. According to the local election commission, it is a law violation. Masliukou commented: ‘Today I was taken to Svetlahorsk District Police Board. In presence of the police and witnesses there was composed a violation report. I was familiarized with it as well as with the police reports that were composed on 25 February. They also said I will be tried.’
