Rahachou court did not find corpus delicti in the actions of Uladzimir Tamkovich and acquitted the local businessman.
Tamkovich was detained on February 25 when he handed out Narodnaya Volya newspaper at a local market. The police drew up a report and did not even inquire about the agreement with the editorial office of the newspaper for its distribution.
During the trial the publisher presented documents to the court which testified that the necessary contract for distribution of the newspaper had been signed in time.
On March 28 Rahachou court acquitted the businessman. “Surprisingly, there are no bad consequences. For me this is a small, but victory”, he commented for RFE/RL.
