Independent Observers Are Removed from Polling Stations Not to Let Them Witness Vote Count

The assistant head of the initiative group of the candidate to the presidential position Aliaksandr Milinkevich Tatsiana Vanina stated that two lieutenant colonels had carried the independent observer Aleh Lusko of polling station #34 in Barysau, threatening that he would be tried.

At polling station #24 in the village of Vialikaia Ukaloda of Barysau district the elector Aliaksandr Vysotski saw that somebody had already signed for receiving the ballots for him and his sister. ‘Immediately after he started the scandal, the chair of the election commission covered those signatures with lute and proposed them sign for receiving of the ballots once again’, said Vanina. Among the violations she also mentioned putting of foreign citizens to the voting lists. ‘However, to our mind one of the main violations is that independent observers weren’t given any information about the early and current voting’, she emphasized.
