Hrodna: Activist of Milinkevich’s Headquarters Sentenced to 7 Days of Jail
According to the human rights activist Viktar Sazonau, in the evening of 13 March the police detained the activist of the headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich Maksim Hubarevich. The police accused him of swearing and composed the appropriate report. On 14 March the judge of Hrodna Leninski Borough Court Natallia Kozel listened to the testimonies of the senior inspectors of the prophylactics department of Hrodna Leninski Borough Board of Internal Affairs Piatro Lenets and Siarhei Vechar and sentenced the activist to 7 days of jail for ‘petty hooliganism’.
HRC Viasna was also informed that the court was also to try the activists of the officially non-recognized Union of Poles in Belarus Andrei Pachobut and Iuzaf Pazhetski, who were also accused of using foul expressions.
