An administrative case is initiated against the activists of the initiative group of Aliaksandr Kazulin in Belaaziorsk
Aliaksandr Kuzmin and Larysa Mazheika, the members of the initiative group of Aliaksandr Kazulin, are accused of entrusting their right to collect signatures to other people, Report the press service of the NGO Assembly.
The statement signed by the Prosecutor of Biaroza district Miachysau Kurylovich sais that the case was initiated because of the notification of a district election committee. According to the committee, the signatures were collected not only by the members of the initiative group.
The Prosecutor of Biaroza district considered the materials found out that the above-mentioned members of the initiative group had gone beyond their commission and got people who are not the members of the initiative group to take part in the process of signature collection. S, they violated Article 62 of the Election Code of the Republic of Belarus and violated Article 167-3 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The member of the initiative group explained that one of their friends had come to the premises where the signature collection process took place. Mazheika says that her brother who us a member of the initiative group helped collect signatures. According to the Prosecutor's decision, the case will be submitted to Biaroza District Court. As a human rights activist from this place Ihar Masouski says, “it is not defined by the Election Code whose hand should fill in the subscription list, that is why the activists have a real chance to win the case".
