Minsk: Zubr Coordinator Iafhen Afnahel Sentenced to 15 Days of Jail

Iafhen Afnahel, who was detained on 13 February, spent the night in the detention center in Akrestsin Street. The police failed to find any corpus delicti in his actions and accused him in the use of foul language: such accusations are often given to representatives of democratic movements in order to imprison them for 10-15 days.

Several dozens of youth activists came to the court to support Afnahel. Senior sergeant of police Dzmitry Lamaka and the policeman Andrei Tsedryk who detained youngsters on 13 February played the role of witnesses at the trial. Judge Ala Dziminskaia sentenced Iafhen Afnahel to 15 days of jail.
