Information about violations made by collectors of signatures still continue to come

HRC Viasna received a copy of the application of Vasil Tsikhanavich Berasnieu, the head of the initiative group of Milinkevich in Vorsha, Vitiebsk region, that was sent to the candidate to the position of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aliaksandr Milinkevich:

"On Janaury 5 the director of the kindergarten #2 in Orsha, Tatsiana Leanidauna Kachaharava, asked the head of the initiative group Volga Mikalaieuna Frantsishkevich to give her signature lists and destroyed them in the presence of 50 employees of the kindergarten, the signature lists contained about 40 signatures. In the process, T.L. Kachaharava threatened to a member of the group by unemployment.
So, the actions of the director violated the rights of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus to elect. She also violated the right of the citizens of Belarus who carried out their duty to participate in the election campaign.
I believe that T.L. Kachaharava violated part 2 of article 191, the articles 424, 426 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

Uladzimir Labkovich, the head of the legal department of the staff of Aliaksandr Milinkevich thinks “that the actions of the director of the kindergarten are both illegal and criminal, but they show the general attitude of the officials to the supremacy of the rights of the citizens, the attitude of the officials to the democratic basis of the state, and it is obvious that the officials are the main support of the totalitarian system”.
