Term of Home Arrest to Vaukavysk Entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich Prolonged till 30 January

The restraint to Mikalai Autukhovich was changed from imprisonment to home arrest. On 28 December he was taken from the national prison hospital to Vaykavysk district hospital. The next day he started recovering after the hunger-strike. On 30 December he was taken home. He feels not bad and is still recovering from the 74-day hunger-strike after which he lost almost 40 kilos.

It became known that the criminal case against him would be considered by Hrodna Kastrychintski Borough Court. However, the entrepreneur hasn’t yet managed to familiarize with the materials of the case, according to which he is charged with violation of part 2 of Art. 243 of the Criminal Code – evasion from taxes that resulted in especially large loss to the state.

Autukhovich’s house is on the territory, where his business office and taxi base are situated. A policeman keeps duty at the check-point. According to the conditions of home arrest, Autukhovich can’t speak on the phone, leave get out and his contacts are limited.
