Alies Kalita was detained at 13.30 in the subway passage of the metro station Ploshcha Iakuba Kolasa for distributing the independent newspaper Narodnaia volia, which is a publication officially registered by the Ministry of Information. Physical force was used during the detention, which was why Alies Kalita sustained an injury in the hand. Police Sergeant Ivan Dulub had detained the activist.
