Andrei Pachobut, Union of Poles Activist, Detained in Hrodna

On 20 October in Hrodna at about 6 p.m. Andrei Pachobut, a Union of Poles activist, was detained in the street and then taken to Leninski Borough Department of Internal Affairs.
Andrei Pachobut had enough time to inform his friends the apprehension was obviously due to his article in the Glos znad Niemna published in Poland by the Solidarity with Belarus Committee at the end of September. The on-duty officer of Leninski Borough Department of Internal Affairs confirmed to the Radio Liberty correspondent that Mr. Pachobut was in the station.
