In Germany an action "Disappeared People - Crimes Against Humanity" was held
The names of Iury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski, Zmitsier Zavadzki were recalled on 21 September in Düsseldorf, where an international event "Disappeared People – Crimes Against Humanity" was held, informed Radio Liberty.
The main reports and discussions centered around the organization of politically motivated disappearances in Belarus and Chechnya. The organizers were the German Foundation of Solidarity "World", the initiative "Mothers for Peace" and other non-governmental organizations. The meeting participants included human rights activists, politicians, representatives of civil society in Germany, Belarus and Chechnya.
Barbara Hladysh of the Köln initiative "Mothers for Peace" who repeatedly met with the families and friends of the disappeared people both in Belarus and Germany is convinced that the perpetuators are the so-called "governmental actors" or those acted on the state order. That's why these people are still free. As regards the victims, these are mostly political dissidents that the system needs to destroy both physically and socially, without leaving any traces at the same time.
According to Barbara Hladysh, the families of the disappeared people and those undertaking independent investigation also fall victim to these terrible stories. The regimes also persecute and psychologically terrorize these people.
