New Cases of Pressurization at Work
Mr. Adryianau, director general of the metallurgic factory, decided to rebuke Marat Afanasieu, activist of United Civil Party, and deprive him of the wage bonus for July because of the information he had received from Mr. Tormanau, head of the repairs board and Mr. Shparun, vice-head of the group. They accused Afanasieu in playing computer games at work.
Two years ago the factory officials tried to make Marat Afanasieu redundant, but he managed to defend his right to work at court. This time Mr. Afanasieu also complained to court against the director’s order and proved that he couldn’t use the computer because he didn’t know even the access code. As a result, on 9 September Lidzia Papieka, judge of Zhlobin District Court, set the order aside.
At the same time, this year Valiery Rybchanka, chair of Zhlobin district branch of the Party of Communists of Belarus, was fired from the factory after several reprimands. The court sittings on this case continue.
