On 15 June the police detained Vadzim Bolbas, chair of Svietlahorsk city organization of Belarusian People’s Front and Viktar Ramanishka, chair of its Homiel regional organization. Both detainees are organizers of a district assembly of activists of democratic forces concerning the election of one candidate who will take part in the presidential election in 2006 on behalf of democratic opposition. The assembly was appointed on 7 p.m. on 15 June.
