Hrodna Hramada (BSDH) under threat of liquidation

The Justice Department of Hrodna Regional Executive Committee sent at the legal address of the Hrodna City Branch of the Hramada Party (BSDH) a letter signed by the first deputy head of the department Iu.Shchyhlinski, which informed that if the Hrodna party branch does not get reregistered before 1 June 2005 and does not have its legal address changed, which is now in a residential building, the party structures in Hrodna will be liquidated. Now the party has three registered structures in the city: the city branch and two district branches. According to the Hrodna City Branch of Hramada (BSDH), the authorities are just mopping up the political field before the presidential elections due in 2006. The legal address is just a pretext, and when it is not there, there will be another reason for liquidation. So the Hramada activists in the city are not going to change the addresses where the party structures were registered by the same department of Justice which now threatens liquidation.
