On 16 May Kastrychnitski Borough Court of Hrodna fined six participants of the chain of concerned people that took place on 7 May to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Iury Zakharanka's disappearance. They were accused of taking an active part in the unauthorized picket, reported Radio Liberty.
Judge Zinaida Bartsevich imposed a fine of 25 basic units on the five participants of the actions – Mikola Voran, Iury Istomin, Artur Smiatanin, Zmitsier Audzeichyk and Andrei Ianushkievich. Raman Iurhiel got the largest fine of all – 160 basic units, which is around 4 million rubles.
We'd like to remind you that on 7 May at around 3 p.m. the police detained six people standing in the street and holding photos of Iury Zakharanka in the hands.
