Zubr Activist Complains against Lawless Sentence

On 11 January the police arrested the activist of Mahiliow branch of Zubr movement Maksim Dvaretski for making the graffiti “Set Marynich Free!”. The detention was made with gross process violations. For instance, the police composed no protocol of detention. Despite of this judge of Mahiliow Leninski Borough Court A. Yafremaw found M. Dvaretski guilty in violation of article #156 of the Code of Administrative Violations (disorderly conduct) and sentenced him to three days of jail. At the trial, which lasted for three minutes, the judge refused to call the defendant’s witnesses.

Now Maxim Dvaretski complains to Mahiliow Regional Court and Mahiliow Leninski and Mahiliowski borough prosecutor’s offices against the lawless actions of the police and the judge.
